What is TagTeam 6?
TagTeam 6 is a collaborative variation of the classic word game format. Instead of competing to solve the word faster, you work together on a single shared board. Player A takes odd turns (1, 3, 5, 7) and Player B takes even turns (2, 4, 6, 8).
How It Works
- Enter names for Player A and Player B, then tap Start Game.
- You share one 6-letter board and take turns.
- 8 total guesses. Green = correct spot, Yellow = in word wrong spot, Gray = not in word.
- After your guess, send the turn link to your partner. The board state travels with the link!
Strategies for Winning TagTeam 6
Because you are sharing a board, standard strategies don't always apply. You only get 4 guesses each.
- The "Burner" Guess: If you are Player A and stuck on Turn 3, don't waste a guess just to see green lights. Play a word that uses 4-5 completely new common letters (like R, S, T, L, N, E) to give Player B more information.
- Watch the Vowels: Six-letter words often contain complex vowel structures (like double vowels or "IE" combos). Try to clear AEIOU within the first two rounds.
- Don't Duplicate: Since you can't talk to your partner, check their previous guesses carefully. Do not repeat a gray letter unless absolutely forced.
Why Cooperative Puzzles Exercise the Brain
TagTeam 6 combines verbal fluency (finding words) with Theory of Mind (anticipating your partner's thoughts). Unlike solo word games where you only battle the dictionary, cooperative relay games force you to simulate your partner's perspective, turning a daily brain exercise into a social connection.
