Help & FAQ
Quick answers about playing CogniBump, saving progress, sharing games, and privacy. If you don’t see your question here, contact us.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play in the browser without signing up. Most scores and streaks are stored on this device in your browser (local storage). That’s why your stats don’t follow you automatically to another phone or computer.
Why did my streak or score disappear?
Common reasons: you cleared site data or cookies, you switched browsers, you used a private/incognito window, or parental controls wiped storage. Some schools also reset browsers nightly. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
What does “same daily puzzle for everyone” mean?
For many CogniBump dailies, everyone gets the same challenge on a given calendar day (in your local time). That’s what makes comparing scores with friends or a class fair—and it’s what group chats love about daily games.
How does TagTeam work?
TagTeam is a relay: two players share one puzzle and split the guesses. Pass the phone or send the link after your turn so your partner can play theirs. Open TagTeam.
How do WordRush Challenge links work?
You pick a word (or phrase rules, depending on mode) and CogniBump builds a link. Anyone who opens it plays your custom puzzle. Great for remote friends and family. Build a challenge.
Which games are best for kids or classes?
Start with short rounds: The Daily 5, geography games, or quick minis from Today’s ritual. For classroom norms, timing, and privacy notes, read For parents & teachers.
Does CogniBump use ads?
We may show ads (for example through Google AdSense) to keep gameplay free. Ads can use cookies or similar technologies. You can control personalized ads in Google Ad Settings. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
