Daily 5: Movies is CogniBump’s quick movie quiz you can play once per day. Five fresh prompts span quotes, posters, directors, cast, years, awards and more.
Heads-up: we avoid plot-twist spoilers for very recent releases. If you spot an error, please let us know via the Contact page.
How it works
- Five prompts per day. New set goes live at your local midnight.
- One play per device per day. Keeps things fair for streaks and leaderboards.
- Instant feedback. See correct answers and your final card at the end.
- Share (no spoilers). Post your card to challenge friends.
Scoring & streaks
- Base score: +20 per correct; perfect game bonus +50.
- Speed tiebreaker: completion time breaks ties.
- Streaks: consecutive days add a small multiplier to base.
Strategy tips
- Cast triangles: connect a director, an era, and two recurring actors to zero the title fast.
- Quote anchors: distinct quotes often map to a specific sequel/entry.
- Poster memory: color palettes and silhouettes usually point to the decade.

Classic Hollywood, 80s crowd-pleasers, 90s thrillers, modern indies, animation, sci-fi, sports films, rom-coms, cult favorites, international hits, and award winners.
